Nigel Walley | Founder and Managing Director

Nigel is the founder and CEO of Decipher and since founding the company in 1998, he has worked on interactive media and commerce projects for the executive boards of a wide range of clients including HSBC in Hong Kong and London, Centrica/British Gas, Unilever, GM/Vauxhall and Heinz. Previously Marketing Director of NTL Internet, he holds an MBA from Cornell University. He is widely published in trade and national press and has appeared on BBC Business Breakfast, The Money Programme and Bloomberg TV commenting on TV and digital interactive issues.

Omar Bakhshi | Head of User Experience

Omar focuses on the user-centred research projects at iBurbia across all digital platforms. Since joining iBurbia in July 2005, Omar has been involved on various interactive television, broadband video, VOD and mobile phone interface usability projects. Prior to working at iBurbia, Omar worked with Motorola's R&D department on developing customer requirements for innovative mobile phone services and usability testing of interfaces.

Jon Ducker | Digital Planner

Jon joined the Decipher Group in March 2006. He has worked to develop numerous applications to test emerging digital concepts with consumers. He now manages Decipher’s Future Media Research Programme, a consortium of platform operators, advertisers, agencies and broadcasters. A Masters graduate in Digital Television Production, he has previously worked on iTV and IPTV research and design projects at Turner Broadcasting.

Hamish McPharlin | Senior Researcher

Hamish has worked in interactive television research and design since 2000. He heads up the quantitative research at Decipher, designing research tools to capture usability and attitudinal data on a highly customised level. Hamish started out as an interactive designer and producer for the Interactive Television Research Institute in Australia; designing iTV applications for clients such as Kellogg's, Saatchi & Saatchi's, and Telecom New Zealand. He has completed a number of large scale quantitative studies on television viewing behaviours. Hamish has a bachelor of Marketing and the Media with First Class Honours, and is completing a PHD in children's interactive television research.

Chris Griffin | Consultant

Chris Griffin has a wide range of operational experience gained from working in the media industry for leading companies such as Viacom and ITV. In between corporate jobs Chris ran his own consulting company advising clients and developing services for digital channel launches and VoD. Most recently Chris co-founded and built Aggregator Limited which pioneered the creation of niche content bundles over broadband available on a worldwide footprint. Chris has served as executive and shareholder director on the boards of; ITV2,ITV News Channel, GSB, Man U TV,TV3 Ireland, Aggregator Limited.
