Fremantle Scenario Planning Case Study

Decipher undertook scenario planning of the evolving UK and European TV markets for major production company Fremantle. Using Decipher's 'Four Futures' Scenario Planning tool, the scenarios created reflected the many drivers of change in TV, including consumer technology development, social change, competition, and legal /regulatory issues. The work focussed on understanding two key themes - future distribution of Fremantle's output, and the changes to the creative output required to succeed in the on-demand world of TV. The evaluation was conducted with a joint team of Decipher staff and Fremantle legal and strategy staff and was presented to the UK board.
