Future Programming and Content Models

Consumption, access and interaction around programming and content in the UK TV landscape has been permanently changed following innovations in digital, broadband and mobile technologies. This session evaluates the impact of innovations in TV and video content models driven by changes in technology and the distribution landscape.
This session builds on the broad themes introduced in the Emerging TV Landscape session and takes evaluation of programming and content to a deeper level with a specific focus on content as part of the broader TV landscape. As with all parts of the Antenna Programme, the session revolves around the unique opportunity to experience of devices and services up close at iBurbia Studios in Chiswick. Highlights of the Session:
This session evaluates the impact of connectivity and convergence on TV channels, programming and web video models and examines changes in the content distribution landscape. It puts IPTV into the context of:
- Interactive and enhanced TV (red button)
- On-demand TV formats
- Short form, web TV and social media integration.
- 2 and 3 screen content models
- Contract and intellectual property rights questions around new content formats
- Data, measurement and valuation models
Session Outcomes:
This session is intended to build on the introductory Emerging TV Landscape session and provide participants with a deeper understanding of the way consumers will find and interact with content in the emerging UKTV landscape.
